 Welcome to Santa Cruz Elementary School. We are proud of our students and value the excellent parental support! We are a Performing School of approximately 670 students. We also have made AYP. Every student in our school is valued and appreciated! The teachers are dedicated to “improve learning” and are also open and conducive to parental input. Our teacher to student ratio is good, and our school is committed to support individualized learning and character development. One of our goals is to encourage our students to do well academically and continue with their studies after high school, whether it is college or vocational training. Our school Web site is user friendly, and we encourage you to visit and communicate with your child’s teacher on a regular basis.  Dear Parents/Guardians of Santa Cruz Students: We are quickly winding down this school year! This has been a very productive academic and character building school year. We will commence the AIMS Testing in early April, and we ask all the parents to encourage your child to get plenty of rest, eat properly the night before the AIMS assessment, and to try their best on the AIMS assessment. We also encourage parents to monitor your child’s homework and study time. It is essential that your child have a quiet place to study and to do the school-assigned homework. Your child’s teacher has aligned the teaching in the classroom to the mandated State standards. However, we recognize that with the support at home, the learning will be reinforced, facilitated, and subsequently have a positive influence on your child’s learning habits and your child’s life long experience. I again thank you for all the support you have given to our teachers, staff, and me! I also want to congratulate you on being the best parents you can be for your child!
