Welcome to Santa Cruz Elementary School, home of the Coyotes. We howl with pride every day and wear our school spirit with purple and teal. We are a newer K-5 school in Maricopa, AZ, one of Arizona’s more recently developed cities.
 
We are a performing school of 402 students with a high teacher-to-student ratio. This means your child has more contact with the teacher for individualized learning and character development. We’re dedicated to the future success of every student, and diligently guiding your young learner’s mind during these formative years.

Dear Parents and Students,

The change in weather and seeing pumpkins and candy in the stores are reminders that fall is finally here.

Classroom routines are established and this is prime time for learning. Teachers are making the most of every opportunity to move students forward in their knowledge and understanding of the curriculum.

Please continue to ensure that students come to school, ready to learn, every day. Open and effective communication between school and home is critical to providing the support our students need to be successful and happy. Please know that our door is always open for our families.

I am pleased and excited to announce that Santa Cruz Elementary is a "Performing" school. Our students did an outstanding job on the 2008 AIMS test and I am proud of their achievemet. Great progress is being made in the classrooms!
